A daily planner that keeps things simple

You do not need a perfect routine to start planning. You only need a place to write down what is on your mind and choose a next step.

This free ADHD planner PDF brings a few useful parts of daily planning together:

  • Today’s focus to help you name what you want to pay attention to
  • Main priorities to list up to three important tasks
  • An hourly schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Must do and should do lists to help sort tasks by urgency
  • A brain dump for notes and thoughts you do not want to keep juggling
  • Mood and energy check-ins to notice how you feel
  • Healthy habit reminders for water, breaks, movement, and deep breathing

How to use the ADHD daily planner

1. Write down what is on your mind

Start with the brain dump. Add tasks, errands, reminders, or thoughts that keep popping up. They do not need to be organized yet.

2. Choose a few priorities

Look over your notes and choose up to three tasks for your main priorities. Then ask yourself: What is the one thing that matters most today?

That question can help you pick a place to begin when everything feels equally important.

3. Sort tasks into “must do” and “should do”

Put time-sensitive or essential tasks under Must Do. Place tasks that would be helpful, but can wait, under Should Do.

This simple split can make a long list feel easier to approach.

4. Give your day a loose shape

Use the hourly schedule to note appointments, work blocks, breaks, or other plans. Think of it as a guide for your day, not a test you have to pass.

If your plans change, update the page and keep going.

5. Check in with yourself

Use the mood and energy section to record how you feel. The planner also includes reminders to drink water, take breaks, move your body, and try deep breathing.

These prompts are there to help you pause and notice what you might need during the day.

Make room for a fresh start

A planner cannot make every day go to plan. It can give you a place to begin again, move a task, or write down a thought so you can focus on what is in front of you.

The goal is not to fill every box. The goal is to make today feel a little clearer and more manageable.
